A homeowner in La Jolla had been dealing with a severely leaking roof and spent weeks collecting bids from different companies. After comparing their options, they chose to move forward with us for a full replacement. We scheduled their installation three weeks out, and I told them ahead of time that if a storm rolled in before their date, we’d tarp the roof at no charge to keep their home protected.
A week before their scheduled installation, the forecast changed. A coastal system moved in and brought off-and-on rain for nearly a full week.

Before — Active Leaks on a Weathered Roof
The roof had been leaking into the home and the shingles were heavily worn from years of sun exposure and age. Another stretch of rain without protection would’ve caused additional interior damage.
During — Free Tarping to Keep the Home Dry
Since they had already signed with us, we went out and installed a storm-rated tarp over the leaking section to hold them over until their replacement date. We secured everything clean and tight to handle the canyon winds common in that part of La Jolla.
It rained off and on for an entire week — and the tarp held the whole time with zero new leaks.
After — A Full Replacement Done Right
Once the weather cleared and their scheduled date arrived, we completed the full roof replacement. We repaired damaged decking, installed synthetic underlayment, added new architectural shingles, and cleaned up all the edges, transitions, and ventilation to bring the entire system up to standard.
The finished roof is clean, solid, and ready for La Jolla’s mix of sun, salt air, and winter storms.

What This Shows
When a homeowner is on our schedule, they can count on us — even before installation day. If weather hits early, we make sure the home stays protected until the job is completed.
Dependable, straightforward, and ready when needed.
